Seamless pipe is long jointless steel with hollow section. The production capacity of seamless

 pipe (including special oil tube) is surpass the demand both in domestic and international 

markets. There are many kinds of seamless pipe such as alloy pipe,stainless steel pipe, low 

temperature pipe, high pressure boiler pipe, high pressure fertilizer pipe,oil cracking pipe,low 

and medium pressure boiler tube, fluid transporting tube, common structural pipe, oil casting

 pipe, line pipe, straight seam steel pipe ,spiral steel pipe,etc..

The material for making seamless pipe is round tube blank, which is cut by cutting machine to

 be about one meter long and sent into furnace by conveyor belt for heating at the temperature of  1200℃.The fuel used is hydrogen and acetylene. Furnace temperature control is critical. 

Then the round tubular steel blank comes to pressure piercer. Generally the piercer is a cone 

type piercer, which is characterized as high production efficiency, good product quality and 

big expanding amount. It can be used for several kinds of steel piercing. The pierced round 

tubular blank is successively processed by three-roll cross rolling, continuous rolling and 

extrusion. Then it has a tube knockout sizing and it is slotted by sizing mill at high speed 

rotating of cone shape drill to form pipe . The inner diameter of the steel pipe is determined 

by the drill length.  

After sizing, the steel pipe is sent into cooling tower for water cooling and then it will be 

straightened.
