Equal angle steel: Angle steel is usually called angle iron and it is long steel with two edges

vertical. There are equal angle steel and unequal angle steel. The width of the two edges of

equal angle steel is equal, and the specification is expressed by mm of edge width *edge width

*edge thickness, such as ∠30*30*3, which means equal angle steel with edge width 30mm and

edge thickness 3mm. Model can also be used and it is the edge width centimeters, such as

∠3#. Model does not represent the size of different edge thickness of the same type, thus

edge width and thickness of angle steel should be completely specified in the contract. Avoid

using model only. The specification of hot rolled equal angle steel is 2#~20#. The specification

of unequal angle steel is ∠50*32—∠200*125.

Different bearing members can be composed of angle steel according to different needs of

structure, it can also be used the connector between bearing members. Angle steel is widely

used in building structure and engineering structure , such as building top support, bridge,

transmission tower, hoisting and conveying machinery, ship, industrial furnace, reaction tower, vessel shelf, warehouse, etc..
